Accelerated Resolution Therapy
Accelerated Resolution Therapy in Wilmington, NC: Trauma Therapy for When You’re Ready to Stop Reliving the Past
What Is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)?
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a unique, evidence‑based form of psychotherapy that helps your brain reframe distressing memories and images so they no longer trigger intense emotional or physical reactions. With guided eye movements and imagery, ART can deliver noticeable relief — often in just 1–5 sessions — without the need to relive every detail of the past.
Who Is ART For?
ART May Be a Good Fit If You:

-
Feel like you have already talked about your trauma but still feel stuck
-
Avoid certain memories because they feel overwhelming
-
Experience anxiety, panic, or physical reactions connected to past events
-
Have intrusive memories, nightmares, or emotional triggers
-
Feel like your nervous system is still reacting as if the danger is happening now
-
Want a focused approach rather than years of processing the same pain
Why ART Works
Fast. Safe. Proven
EMDR VS. ART
Unlike EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy quickly rewrites distressing memories without making you relive them—helping you feel lighter, calmer, and back in control in just a few sessions.
Safe
ART helps you release painful memories without reliving them. Its gentle, client-focused approach makes healing feel safe, supportive, and manageable from the very first session.
Quick
Most people notice significant relief in just 1 to 5 sessions of Accelerated Resolution Therapy. Each session is tailored to you, so you move at your own pace toward feeling calmer and more in control
Proven
Backed by research and clinical studies, ART is an evidence-based therapy that effectively addresses trauma, anxiety, grief, and phobias. You can trust that every session is rooted in proven results.

Why Trust Me With Something This Vulnerable?
Specialized Trauma Therapy, Personalized to You

You don't have to keep reliving the past to heal from it.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) practitioner, I specialize in helping adults process trauma, anxiety, and painful experiences that continue to impact their lives.
I believe effective trauma therapy is not just about reducing symptoms — it is about understanding how your experiences have shaped your nervous system, relationships, and sense of self while creating space for lasting change.

When you work with me, ART is not a one-size-fits-all intervention. It is thoughtfully integrated with trauma-informed therapy approaches to support your individual healing journey in a safe, compassionate, and collaborative environment.

My goal is to help you move from feeling stuck in survival mode toward feeling more present, connected, and empowered in your life.

An Investment in Specialized Trauma Care
I believe in being transparent about the cost of specialized trauma therapy so you can make an informed decision about your care.

Initial ART Consultation & Assessment (90 minutes): $225
During your initial session, we will discuss your goals, explore whether ART is the right fit for your needs, and develop a personalized plan for treatment.

ART Treatment Sessions (90 minutes): $200 per session
ART sessions are intentionally scheduled for 90 minutes to allow adequate time for preparation, trauma processing, and integration without feeling rushed.

Some clients choose private pay ART because they are looking for a specialized trauma treatment approach with extended sessions and individualized care. While insurance may be an option for some therapy services, private pay allows ART treatment to remain focused on your specific goals and needs.

A free 15-minute consultation is available to discuss whether ART is the right approach for you and answer any questions about the process, scheduling, or payment options.

Insurance Note: ART may be eligible for insurance reimbursement depending on your benefits and treatment needs. If you choose to use insurance, sessions are billed based on standard therapy appointments and insurance requirements. Private pay ART sessions are offered as extended 90-minute specialty sessions.
Why Chose A Certified ART Therapist
As a Certified Basic Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Practitioner, I have completed specialized training in the official ART protocol and continue to integrate this evidence-informed approach into my work with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, grief, distressing memories, and other emotional challenges.
For you, this means your ART sessions are guided by a therapist who has received focused training in how to safely and effectively use this powerful treatment—not simply someone who has learned about it secondhand.

My certification allows me to provide:

-
An individualized ART experience tailored to your unique history and goals
-
Specialized training in the full ART protocol and evidence-informed techniques
-
A structured yet flexible approach that helps clients process distressing memories without having to repeatedly relive every painful detail
