Kara participated in a 1 year Advanced Standing Master's Program where she learned how to be a Trauma Informed Therapist. Her niche focuses on military life issues, anxiety management, and trauma healing. As a Social Worker, Kara is able to use her education to help her better understand how systems affect her clients and their current level of functioning.
By practicing Trauma Informed, Kara is able to connect with her clients in a meaningful way and teaches client's skills during session that they are able to use outside of their time together. She utilizes a blend of somatic interventions and CBT in client sessions.

I have extensive experience with our Nation's Military community. I have served as support for many years through different avenues.

I assisted in spearheading a program for transitioning Special Operators in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. During this time, I often networked with executive coaches, C-Suite executives and Commanding Generals.
I have had the privilege of working alongside some of our Nation's most elite individuals including retired Marine Raiders, Navy SEALS, Army Green Berets, Army Rangers and SWICC. I have experience briefing Infantry Marines on Camp Geiger, North Carolina for the American Red Cross as well as hosting Welcome Aboard briefs for incoming Marines/Sailors on Marine Corps Air Station New River.
My experience with the military extended into individual financial services through the Marine Corps Relief Society and working alongside Navy Corpsman in the Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital.
